About
A steward of faith, and a voice in public life
Pabbathi Vishnu Vardhan Reddy is the Chairman of Sri Peddamma Thalli Temple, one of Hyderabad's most revered shrines, and a former elected representative of the Jubilee Hills constituency in the Telangana Legislative Assembly.
Born on 8 February 1981 in Hyderabad, he is the son of the late P. Janardhan Reddy — a former Congress Legislature Party leader, state minister, and founder of the Peddamma Thalli Temple Trust — and Smt. Sulochana Reddy. He was raised in a household defined by two enduring commitments: public service and devotion to the temple his father revived.
Following his father's passing, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy entered electoral politics and went on to represent the Khairatabad and, later, the newly delimited Jubilee Hills constituency in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Legislative Assemblies. He also served as National Treasurer of the NSUI (National Students' Union of India) earlier in his career.
Alongside his public and political life, he has continued the family's long-standing role at Sri Peddamma Thalli Temple — a responsibility he now carries forward as Chairman, overseeing its worship, festivals, and continued development for the community of Jubilee Hills and beyond.
"The temple has always been more than a place of worship for our family — it is a responsibility passed down, and a promise kept to the people of Jubilee Hills."

The Institution
Sri Peddamma Thalli Temple, Jubilee Hills
Sri Peddamma Thalli Temple stands on Road No. 55 in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, dedicated to Goddess Peddamma — an aspect of Durga, and one of the eleven forms of the region's village deities. The name itself, "Pedda" and "Amma," translates to "Mother of Mothers," or the Supreme Mother.
Believed to have stood in some form for close to 150 years, the temple was transformed from a modest shrine into its present grandeur beginning in 1993, under the personal direction of the late P. Janardhan Reddy — the temple trust's founder. Under his stewardship, the temple's five-tier Garba Gudi, seven-tier Raja Gopuram, and Kalyana Mandapam were constructed.
Today, the temple is among the most visited shrines in Hyderabad, drawing devotees, dignitaries, and public figures alike — second in prominence in the twin cities only to the Ujjaini Mahakali Temple in Secunderabad. Every Tuesday and Friday, the temple serves food to all devotees who visit.
